About

Michelle Dodd, owner of Skipping Girl Design, has been involved in various forms of website and graphic design since 1997. She co-owned Topaz Technology Group, Inc., a computer training and website design company in New Mexico, for three years. From 2001 to 2007, she worked for Northern Arizona University, first for the Center for Sustainable Environments and later for the Bilby Research Center. In these roles she offered website and graphic design services to science and environmental departments and projects across campus.

In 2007 she quit her job to enjoy a few fun adventures with her partner Dave Snowberg. Together they rode the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, bike toured through southeast Asia, sea kayaked in southeast Alaska, and hiked the rugged Hayduke Trail in southern Utah.

What does this have to do with web design? Here’s the point: Michelle finds that balancing time working on websites (which she thoroughly enjoys) and time on adventures in the wilderness brings her work a unique perspective and energy that you just won’t find with a lot of other website design firms. She’s always anxious to take on new challenges; from the technology it takes to design your site, to learning the particulars of your business or organization.

Another thing that makes Michelle a great person to work with is her ability to demystify the world of websites and focus on making your website do all that it should for you—all in language you can understand! She will design a beautiful and functional site while making it seem pretty painless.
